Hello there, backers of the Smoke Test School,
Our smoke tests are officially complete, and we are happy to say they were a success! We're ready to release all Backerkit Surveys, so be prepared! Answering a form is always more challenging than it seems...
We've run the smoke tests and confirmed everything was working as intended, so it's time to press the big red button!
The Backerkit Surveys will start coming out today. They are released in waves, so don't worry if you don't get it immediately. However, if you haven't received your survey within a week, please reach out to Backerkit Support or to us directly.
A Warning to Apple Pay Users. If you have the feature that hides your email turned on, you will not get a survey, as it will be directed to a temporary Apple email instead. If that's the case for you, please reach out to Backerkit directly: they'll need your email to manually forward your survey!
Within the next few days, you will receive an email from Backerkit, if you haven't received it already. The email will include a link that will take you directly to the Backerkit Survey.
If you haven't received your survey or can't find it in your email, you can always log in to Backerkit yourself using the same email you used to create your Kickstarter account (make an account using that email, if you don't have one already). From there, you can select your profile, then go to Your Pledges & Surveys > Your Surveys > Ariadne's Book of Legends to find the survey yourself.
You can then answer your survey as usual, following the steps sequentially. It's important to remember that these surveys are extremely important. That's where you'll fill in your shipping information, choose your VTTs, and where you'll get to upgrade your order before it gets locked.
You will have until the end of October to fulfill these surveys, but if you already have all the information you need, we recommend filling them out now. It's easy to forget...
Remember: you won't be able to access any of your rewards until the survey is completed.

The first thing you'll get to do in your survey will be upgrading your pledge. This means being able to upgrade to a different tier, or add extra Add-Ons to your order.
All you need to do is choose the "Yes" option in the very first question of the survey. This will let you use already pledged funds from Kickstarter and allocate them to a new tier, or add more funds to upgrade your order further!
You'll also get to select the VTT of your choice if your pledge tier includes it! The question will look like this:
to everyone except Mastery and Producer Tiers, in which case it will look like this:
You'll also be able to get any Add-Ons you want with your order!
These surveys are detailed, fairly straightforward, and self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via a Kickstarter message, email, or through Discord!
Currently, we are giving everyone time to finish their surveys and make any changes to their orders. Starting on July 6th, we will start locking orders. This is because your order must be locked for you to get access to any digital products that will eventually be released!
If you haven't filled out your survey or you don't have sufficient funds in your account, don't worry. You'll have until the end of October to resolve it, but remember: you won't be able to access any other rewards until the survey is completed.
After July 6th, we will be locking orders every Monday. This means any finalized surveys that haven't yet been locked will have their cards charged for any outstanding costs, and these orders will be granted access to any digital rewards already available. This is so we have a consistent time when things are charged, and so nobody gets jumped by an unexpected charge due to the survey!
As a final reminder, any shipping and tax charges will be coming up later down the line. Things are very unstable right now when it comes to international shipping, so we'd rather wait until we're closer to the project's shipping phase before committing to charging you guys! We'll make sure to keep everyone updated about that, and when the time comes to charge for those!
Hey! Marce here. Lin has put a lot of effort into this update, and it contains very important information that should reach everyone who follows the project! To keep the update on topic, we'll release the awaited Alpha v.1.2 of the Book of Legends in another Kickstarter update and through Backerkit as a digital download. All future digital rewards will be delivered on Backerkit, so complete your Backer Survey as fast as possible!
